- About Us
UCC is modeled after the “medical home,” and every patient that comes to UCC has the opportunity to meet with a medical, nursing, social work, and dental student volunteer. Volunteers from these four disciplines work closely with one another to meet the holistic needs of every UCC patient.
Training and Supervision:
All volunteers are trained by UCC coordinators and supervised by attending physicians and registered nurses. Training differs according to the volunteer’s role at clinic. Please contact the volunteer coordinator for you discipline below.
UCC aims to make volunteering as easy and convenient as possible. We provide van transportation from Penn to the clinic as well as to volunteers’ homes at the end of the night. The clinic van departs Johnson’s Pavillion at 5:20 p.m. (map here).
Sign-up to Volunteer:
UCC needs volunteers every Monday night, but we ask all volunteers to sign up in advance using Volunteer Spot, which can be accessed at the link below:
If there are no spots open for your discipline on a specific night, we encourage you to sign up for a different Monday night.
