- About Us
UCC is an interdisciplinary clinic, so every patient who comes to UCC has the opportunity to meet with a medical, nursing, social work, and dental student volunteer. Volunteers from these four disciplines work closely with one another to meet the holistic needs of every UCC patient.
Training and Supervision:
All volunteers are trained by UCC coordinators and supervised by attending physicians and registered nurses. Training differs according to the volunteer’s role at clinic. Please contact the volunteer coordinator for you discipline below.
UCC aims to make volunteering as easy and convenient as possible. We provide car transportation from Penn to the clinic as well as to volunteers’ homes at the end of the night. We depart Johnson’s Pavillion at 5:20 p.m. (map here).
Sign-Up To Volunteer:
UCC needs volunteers every Monday night, but we ask all volunteers to sign up in advance. Nursing students should sign up through Volunteer Spot. Students from the other professional schools should e-mail their school’s coordinators, whose contact information can be found here. If there are no spots open for your discipline on a specific night, we encourage you to sign up for a different Monday night.
